„Some people have already decided that they cannot get what they want, but they go through the motions of trying to change their life anyway. This is one of the most destructive approaches to life. It is aimed at alleviating the guilt of „not trying“ without actually having any intent to succeed.“
This is one more statement by S.S. Pillay that struck me as true & tragic.
So let’s pluck up and be honest with ourselves. If there’s something that continues to feel important, make sure we pursue it full-assed.
This doesn’t mean to work without rest.
Rest, reflection and regeneration are just as essential as practice.
So if you know you need time to recover, do that full-assed as well.
Make a firm decision to let things slide for a while and deeply enjoy your break.
To dare is to lose one’s footing momentarily. To not dare is to lose oneself. – Soren Kierkegaard
